This documentary is dedicated to composer Boris Karadimchev.
The short documentary BORETO marks the 70th-year anniversary of the great Bulgarian composer Boris Karadimchev (Boreto), or Papa as the youngest choristers in Pim-Pam children’s choir used to call him.
The documentary highlights Papa’s broad artistic legacy as a music composer, ranging from an overwhelming number of classical orchestral pieces to a trove of memorable film scores. BORETO further explores his teaching commitment and focuses on the ever greens he wrote for Bulgarian pop singers.
Karadimchev’s portrayal is created with contributions from pop singer Bogdana Karadocheva, director Prof. Hacho Boyadzhiev, composer’s wife Magdalena Nemtsu, lyricist Alexander Petrov, Emanuil Manolov and poet Matei Stoyanov.
